Summary

Noctiary does not require an account. In version 1.0, dream content stays on your device and is not sent to the developer.

The app uses Apple services for speech recognition, notifications, and purchases, and Google AdMob for ads. Ads are requested only after the applicable consent flow.

Content you create

Titles, text, feelings, symbols, tags, ratings, and other dream details are stored locally with SwiftData. The developer does not receive this content. Exported PDFs and images remain under your control at the destination you choose in iOS.

CloudKit is not enabled in the 1.0 release. If sync is added later, this policy will be updated before it is enabled.

Microphone and speech recognition

When you tap the voice button, Noctiary requests microphone and speech recognition access. Audio is processed through Apple's Speech framework to create the transcript. Noctiary does not save an audio file. Processing by Apple is subject to system settings and Apple's policies.

Ads and consent

The free version uses Google AdMob and Google's consent messaging platform. Depending on region, consent, and configuration, these services may process IP address and approximate location, device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, and diagnostic data such as crashes and performance.

This data may be used for third-party advertising, developer advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, and service operation. Your dream content is not sent to AdMob. The advertising identifier is used only when you allow the tracking request shown by iOS; if you decline, contextual ads may still be shown. When required, you can review your choice in Settings > Privacy options. The Remove Ads purchase stops new ad requests in the app.

Purchases and notifications

Apple processes purchases through StoreKit; the developer receives only the status needed to unlock the purchased feature, not your complete payment details. Local reminder notifications are scheduled on your device after authorization and can be disabled in iOS Settings.

Retention, deletion, and security

Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Noctiary uses iOS protection mechanisms and offers an optional biometric lock. No storage method is completely infallible; keep your device and personal backups protected.

Support pages

These pages use no cookies, analytics, or forms. Railway, the hosting provider, may process basic technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the service.

Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, or restrict the processing of data. Because dream content does not reach the developer, you directly control its deletion on your device. For privacy questions, write to the address below.

Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app, providers, or law. The date at the top identifies the current version.
